Amazon Services FAQ

Answers to common questions about choosing a service, scope, pricing, process, and working with The AMZ Specialist.

Choosing a Service

Which service should I start with?

There is no required first step. Choose the Audit for diagnosis, Access for recurring guidance, the Reset for focused implementation, Management for ongoing ownership, or a Strategy Session for a focused live conversation across the Amazon topics that matter most. You can also send an inquiry for a straightforward recommendation. See Compare Services & Pricing for a side-by-side view.

Are you part of Amazon?

No. The AMZ Specialist is an independent consulting business providing advisory, advertising, implementation, and account-management services to businesses selling on Amazon. We do not represent Amazon or provide official Amazon customer or seller support.

How is The AMZ Specialist different from an Amazon agency?

You work directly with an experienced Amazon marketplace specialist whose background spans advertising, listings and SEO, catalog management, inventory, launches, and Seller Central and Vendor Central operations. Depending on the service, you can get focused advice, defined implementation, or ongoing management. Your scope and point of contact are clear from the start.

Why not just use Amazon PPC software?

Amazon PPC software can organize data and automate tasks, but it does not replace account-specific judgment about structure, tradeoffs, margins, inventory, and priorities.

Do you work with Seller Central and Vendor Central?

Yes. Support covers both Seller Central and Vendor Central, with recommendations built around ROAS, margins, inventory, and business goals. The Case Studies page includes examples from each.

Do you work with small sellers or new accounts?

The Reset and Ongoing Management fit best for established accounts with meaningful advertising activity. Smaller or newer accounts are often a better fit for AMZ Specialist Access or a 60-Minute Strategy Session. The Audit works best when the account has enough recent advertising history to review. If you are not sure where you fit, send an inquiry.

Which Amazon ad types do you work with?

Support focuses on Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display on both Seller Central and Vendor Central accounts where those formats are available. Other Amazon advertising products are outside the standard scope unless specifically included in the agreed scope.

Results & Proof

Do you guarantee results?

No. Results depend on account history, offer strength, conversion, inventory, competition, budget, execution, and other factors. Individual results vary. Timing also varies by account and by service. With the Audit, Access, and Strategy Session, you make the changes. With the Reset and Ongoing Management, The AMZ Specialist makes the agreed advertising changes.

Can I see examples of your results?

Yes. The Case Studies page includes three anonymized historical examples across Seller Central and Vendor Central. They are examples, not guarantees, and individual results vary.

Amazon Ads Performance Audit

What does the Audit include?

The Audit includes a written audit, supporting analysis workbook, recorded walkthrough, 30-Day Priority Action Plan, and 7-Day Clarification Period. The base scope covers one Amazon marketplace and up to 35 qualifying campaigns.

Does the Audit include implementation?

No. The Audit is diagnostic only. It identifies what to fix and in what order, but it does not make the changes. If you want changes made, the 45-Day Efficiency Reset and Ongoing Management are the implementation options. An Audit is not required before a Reset.

What if my account has more than 35 campaigns or multiple marketplaces?

The base Audit scope covers one marketplace and up to 35 campaigns with spend in the last 90 days. Recently paused campaigns count if they had spend during that period, while campaigns with no spend in the last 90 days are excluded. More than 35 qualifying campaigns, multiple marketplaces, or unusually complex structures require custom scoping before purchase. Send an inquiry first if you are unsure.

How long does the Audit take?

Target delivery is within seven business days after all required access, data, and information are received. The 7-Day Clarification Period begins at delivery and covers reasonable questions that clarify the findings and recommendations.

AMZ Specialist Access

What is AMZ Specialist Access?

AMZ Specialist Access is an ongoing advisory membership for sellers and brands that manage their own Amazon account. Each billing cycle includes up to 4 Advisory Reviews, worked one at a time in the order accepted. Each review addresses one clearly defined Amazon marketplace issue or decision. The response target is about 3 business days once a complete request is in progress. Same-topic follow-up is included for 7 calendar days after delivery.

How does the founding rate work?

The founding rate is $199/month, compared with the $249/month regular rate, and it remains in place while your membership stays continuously active. See the Membership Terms for details.

Does Access include account management or implementation?

No. Access is advisory only. It does not include implementation or account management. If you want changes made in your account, see the 45-Day Efficiency Reset or Ongoing Management.

Reset & Ongoing Management

What is the difference between the Reset and Ongoing Management?

The 45-Day Efficiency Reset is a defined 45-day implementation project. Ongoing Management is ongoing advertising management. Both are scoped first and both start at $2,000, but the Reset is a one-time engagement and Management is billed monthly. The Management service period and notice terms are confirmed in your written proposal.

Do I need an Audit before a Reset?

No. An Audit is not required before a Reset. Eligible Audit customers may apply a $500 credit toward a Reset by requesting Reset scoping within 30 calendar days of Audit delivery. After you receive the scoped proposal, the credit remains available for 7 calendar days to complete the purchase. Additional conditions apply. See the full credit terms.

How are the Reset and Management priced?

Both start at $2,000. The Reset is one-time and Management is per month. Final pricing depends on ad spend, advertised ASIN count, marketplace count, launch activity, and account complexity, and is confirmed in a written proposal before you commit.

What does Ongoing Management include?

Ongoing Management includes ongoing strategy, optimization, monitoring, and performance management of your Amazon Ads. One specialist handles execution in your account. Any reporting or review cadence, along with the service period and notice terms, is confirmed in your written proposal.

Does Ongoing Management include catalog and listing work?

No. Ongoing Management is focused on Amazon Ads. Some historical case studies included catalog and listing work, and those cases note that the historical scope was broader than the current advertising-focused service. See the Case Studies.

Strategy Session

What is the 60-Minute Strategy Session?

A private, 60-minute working conversation with an experienced Amazon specialist. Bring questions about advertising, listings, catalog issues, inventory, launches, or marketplace strategy. You can cover several topics within the hour; we’ll prioritize what matters most and identify practical next steps. Implementation and extensive research outside the session are separately scoped.

Buying, Billing & Account Access

Which services can I buy directly, and which are scoped first?

The Audit, Access, and Strategy Session can be purchased online, with scope shown before checkout. The Reset and Ongoing Management are scoped first. If the service is a fit, a written proposal confirms scope, pricing, timing, and terms before you commit.

What happens after I purchase or send an inquiry?

After you purchase or enroll, you receive the relevant intake, membership, or scheduling instructions and a clear outline of next steps. After an inquiry, you receive a straightforward recommendation. For the Reset and Ongoing Management, a written proposal is provided if the service is a fit. Most inquiries receive a response within 1 business day.

Is there a long-term contract?

The Audit and Strategy Session are one-time purchases, and the 45-Day Efficiency Reset is a defined 45-day project. Ongoing Management follows the service period and notice terms confirmed in your written proposal. AMZ Specialist Access renews monthly until canceled.

How does Access cancellation work?

Members can stop renewal entirely online. Sign in to Membership Account, open My Memberships, and choose Cancel for AMZ Specialist Access. On the confirmation screen, review the paid-through date and choose Yes, cancel this membership. Future renewal stops, and membership remains active through the displayed date. Any Advisory Review accepted before the paid cycle ends will still be completed. The seven-calendar-day same-topic follow-up window after delivery remains available even if membership ends. Payments already made are non-refundable except where required by law. If you cannot sign in, use Lost Password? on the login page. See the Access Membership Terms and Cancellation & Refund Policy for complete terms.

What is your refund and cancellation policy?

Refund and cancellation terms are set out in the Cancellation & Refund Policy, and Access also follows the Access Membership Terms. Please read them before you purchase. If you are unsure how they apply, send an inquiry.

Do you need my Amazon password or account access?

Never send your Amazon password. Access does not require direct Amazon account access. Depending on the agreed scope, the Audit, Reset, and Management may require secure delegated permissions or exported reports.
