Privacy Policy

Policy version: PRIV-2026-10-24-V4

Effective date: October 24, 2026

Anacapa Commerce LLC, doing business as The AMZ Specialist (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operates themarketplacespecialist.com. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information through this website and our Amazon advertising and marketplace services.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Inquiries and forms

When you contact us or submit a service inquiry, we collect information you provide, such as your name, email address, company or brand, Amazon storefront or ASIN, service interest, advertising-spend range, and message. The website uses WPForms for contact, inquiry, and other service forms.

1.2 Membership information

If you join AMZ Specialist Access, we maintain information needed to create and administer your account and membership through Paid Memberships Pro. This may include contact details, membership level and status, billing history, Advisory Review requests, and materials you submit for review.

Please do not submit Amazon passwords, payment-card information, or personal information unnecessary for your request.

1.3 Purchase and payment information

For memberships and self-purchase services, Stripe processes payments. We receive information needed to administer a purchase, such as the amount, payment status, and transaction record. Payment-card details entered into Stripe’s payment interface are processed by Stripe.

1.4 Technical and security information

The site receives technical information associated with visits and use, which may include IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, and interactions with the site.

Public contact and checkout forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish people from automated traffic. Turnstile evaluates browser interactions and technical signals for form security. Certain WordPress login, registration, password-reset, and comment-related forms may use Google reCAPTCHA for security. Google reCAPTCHA is not used on the Contact form.

1.5 Management prospect-review information

When a prospect requests Amazon Ads Management or Full Amazon Account Management, we may collect information reasonably necessary to evaluate fit, recommend scope, and prepare a quote. This may include contact and business information, marketplace and account type, campaign and product counts, advertising spend, existing account structure, requested services, business constraints, account reports, and information visible through authorized Amazon access.

One complimentary fit-and-scope review may be provided per prospect and is capped at 30 minutes of account-review time. The review is not an audit, roadmap, or implementation plan.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

  • respond to inquiries;
  • provide purchased services and Advisory Reviews;
  • manage accounts, memberships, payments, and support;
  • evaluate Management account fit and prepare a scope recommendation and quote;
  • operate and protect the website and services;
  • understand how visitors use the site; and
  • maintain records needed for business, security, dispute, or legal purposes.

3. Management prospect-review access and limited use

Before account access, we obtain acceptance of the applicable confidentiality and limited-use terms. We use prospect-review information only to evaluate account fit, identify likely scope, prepare a recommendation and quote, administer the inquiry, protect the service, and meet applicable legal or recordkeeping obligations.

We request only the minimum permissions reasonably necessary and use read-only permissions where supported. We never request an Amazon password, make account changes during a prospect review, or record a screen share without express consent.

A prospect may revoke access at any time. When the review ends, we stop accessing the account, request revocation in writing, and remove our own access where the platform supports provider-side removal. We distinguish requested revocation from confirmed revocation because the platform or account owner may control final removal.

4. Quote validity, follow-up, and inquiry closure

A Management quote is valid for 14 calendar days from delivery. We send a follow-up when that 14-day validity period expires.

If no quote is issued because information or a decision is needed, we follow up seven calendar days after requesting that information or decision.

If the prospect remains silent, we close the inquiry 14 calendar days after the applicable follow-up is actually sent. A substantive reply establishes a documented next step and date instead of being treated as silence.

5. Analytics, cookies, and consent choices

We use Essential technologies to operate and secure the website, support forms and checkout, provide account access, and save privacy choices. Optional technologies are divided into Statistics and Marketing.

Statistics allows Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to process visit and interaction information so we can understand and improve the website. Marketing separately controls consent signals for Google advertising user data and personalization. Newsletter signup is a separate choice and is not controlled by the website-tracking preferences.

Before you choose, or when optional choices are off, Google may still receive limited consent-state and measurement requests without optional storage. These requests may include technical information associated with the request. The absence of optional cookies or storage does not mean that no personal information is processed.

When Statistics is allowed, Google Analytics may store and process fuller visit information, and Microsoft Clarity may collect page-interaction and session-playback information. Clarity’s configured masking is intended to reduce collection of sensitive visible content, but it does not make the service anonymous. Retention periods for these services are described in Section 7.

The connected Google Ads link has Personalized Advertising disabled. ActiveCampaign is configured not to track known contacts by default. Identified ActiveCampaign website tracking is currently disabled. The Marketing preference does not subscribe anyone to a newsletter or enable identified ActiveCampaign website tracking.

You can make optional choices through the banner and reopen them at any time using the persistent Cookie Preferences control. WPConsent is currently configured to remember a choice for 30 days. You can also restrict or delete cookies through your browser settings.

We honor supported Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals as separate browser signals. When a supported GPC signal is present, optional Statistics and Marketing remain off for that browser. When DNT: 1 is present, optional Statistics and Marketing also remain off while that signal is present. Either supported signal overrides a prior optional acceptance on a later page load. These signals do not unsubscribe you from a newsletter, cancel a membership, prevent an inquiry or purchase, or disable technologies needed for security and core site functions. Google’s limited denied-consent requests described above may still occur.

Changing or withdrawing a preference affects future optional loading. Cookies or identifiers previously placed by a third party may remain until they expire or you delete them through your browser.

6. Sharing and service providers

We use providers to operate the website and deliver services, including hosting and email services, Stripe for payments, Google and Microsoft for analytics, and Cloudflare Turnstile and Google reCAPTCHA for the security uses described above.

WPForms and Paid Memberships Pro are software used on the site for forms and membership administration. Their use does not by itself mean every submission is sent to those vendors.

We may disclose information to professional advisers, such as accountants or attorneys, when reasonably necessary, or when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, security, or the operation of our services.

Links to other websites and services are governed by those providers’ own privacy practices.

7. Retention

We retain inquiry, account, membership, payment, and service records for as long as needed to respond to a request, provide and administer services, maintain appropriate business records, address disputes or security issues, and meet applicable obligations. Retention varies by record type. We have not established one automatic deletion period for all site records.

Downloaded reports and analysis files used only for a Management prospect review are deleted within 30 calendar days after the inquiry is closed or after an earlier decision not to proceed. We retain only the minimal inquiry, consent, access, revocation, quote, and disposition records reasonably needed for business administration, security, dispute handling, or legal obligations.

WPConsent is currently configured to remember a browser’s privacy choice for 30 days.

Google Analytics user-level and event-level data retention is set to two months, with reset on new activity disabled. This setting applies to user-level and event-level data used for features such as Explorations and funnel reports. It does not determine how long Google Analytics retains standard aggregated reports.

Microsoft currently states that Clarity playback data used for ordinary session recordings is retained for 30 days. Click data and heatmap data are retained for nine months, and labeled or favorited sessions are retained for nine months. These are Microsoft-controlled service retention periods and may change if Microsoft changes the service.

Deleted information may remain in restricted backups until those backups expire through the ordinary backup cycle. If a backup is restored, we reapply recorded deletion and suppression decisions before returning the restored information to operational use.

8. Your choices and privacy requests

Depending on where you live and the law applicable to your information, you may be able to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or make other privacy requests.

We may need to verify a request and may retain information where an exception or obligation applies. To make a request, email laura@themarketplacespecialist.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line and describe your request. Do not include passwords or payment-card information.

9. Security and policy versions

We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no website, email system, or electronic storage method is completely secure.

We may update this policy prospectively as the site or our practices change. The published version shows its effective date. When an accepted engagement identifies a specific version of this policy, a later public revision or rollback does not replace that incorporated version unless the parties expressly agree in writing.
